Discuss How Personality Influences Behaviour of a Person - 1100 Words

Discuss How Personality Influences Behaviour of a Person (Essay Sample) Content: Influence of Personality on BehaviorStudents NameInstitution AffiliationIntroductionPersonality is the unique characteristic of thoughts, feelings and the way someone responds to various occurrences and situations in life. Personality influences interpersonal behaviors to a large extent. The relationship between the two offers an insight that can be used to direct individuals to a particular desired objective. Personality psychology tries to find solutions to the various queries, such as; why people differ in certain ways, up to which extent do these individuals differ and how consistent are the differences among different groups of people. Information about these differences is an important aspect in the determination of the extent to which personality affects behaviors. It will be an exploration of different models proposed for explanation of the impact character has on behavior. The theories seem contradictory; others in competition, while there are those that con cur with each other.Psychology of personality is one of the latecomers in the different fields related to psychology. Different individuals in various scenarios have been practicing personality psychology exhibited through their behaviors unknowingly. An individual seeks the right mate for himself, and the decision of that person will mainly depend on their compatibility. The similarity between the actions of the two individuals will mostly show their consistency. (Armitage Christian, 2003). Behavioral influence of personality lies under a heading of what persons tend to believe to understand, and this apparently translates through their behaviors when they are encountered by the different situations that prompt their reaction. The text will try to show how most of us are incorrect while drawing conclusions that pertain others and the overconfidence of our abilities in doing so by looking at one period of a short time personality and making judgments about their behavior.People t end to go through their lives by categorizing other individuals based on their behavior yet this has influenced to the greatest extent a persons personality that makes them act in certain kind of manner toward others or a particular kind of situation in the workplace or group discussion. For example, in the business world, people tend to judge others depending on their demeanor generally, and they're presuming the ability to fit somewhere and their verbal style. A particular group of Researchers has not accepted the belief that they have a constant personality, some, in fact, reject the theory of personality ultimately they believe that personality changes according to a particular situation or the surrounding and as a ripple effect the behavior of an individual also changes. How Personality Influences BehaviorResearch on this area has a relative longer history, Aristotle, Plato, Machiavelli and Descartes with much more numerous types of studies in the field of psychology have looked into personality and behavior of human. Most of the works revealed powerful insights about character and had much more impact on how an individual deemed to perform under certain environmental conditions. The theorists of today have echoed theories of the past set of scholars massively. In an attempt of explaining a natural phenomenon systematically, researchers have observed and conducted experiments on the subject (Bargh, 2002). A theory should be subject to verification and falsifiability. The significance of personality psychology becomes vital where there is a human predator in the society like a serial killer; researchers analyze character to give and predict the reason behind their behavior using nature. Examples that are known best for the analysis of this kind. Langer (1899-1981), a psychiatrist, assessed Adolf Hitler's mind in the United States in secret. It was published in 1970 famously indicating that Hill would die rather than surrender when he was forced to recognize that he lost the war. The psychiatrist was later recruited as a consultant of contemporary personality specialist and the law called him to develop profiles that would help to capture of serial murders by using their character that wants to kill people by predicting their behavior that is their next cause of action. An example is Duffy John a killer and a rapist terrorizing NW London in a period of four years (Bouchard Jr, 2004). Behavioral scientists, a professor was approached to develop the profile of a psychological character of Duffy and almost all he came up with matched what was found after he was captured.Personality: Fuzzy SetIt is where a digit given to each member shows to what extent a particular individual is in that set. In many cases, though people are given a liberal and conservative what happens is the function or principles over other competing ones. The test is used in coming up with conclusion where data were given vague since vast research was not done the on conceptSchool and Models of PersonalityMostly the theories of the research on personality classifications are two; nomothetic and idiographic. The one that has been most used in the past millennium is idiographic. A personality ideography theorist stresses the distinctiveness of people's behaviors, indicating that two individuals can never be alike. This model looks at a particular person as his entity and does not compare them with any other. A book wrote by Theophrastus almost two millenniums ago showed it. He depicted a flatter individual who had his primary goal as the manipulation of others to lure them towards a particular direction and take advantage of them. Many people have experienced such kinds of personalities who want to play around with someones mind and at the end benefit from them. Those who take nomothetic kind of approach stresses that the uniqueness will come into place as a compilation of behaviors that can be quantified. With this school of thought, every individ ual has particular traits that are common in all of them combined, and that we only differ in the character that we pose. (Gasper Clore, 2002). The first nomothetic personality psychologist may have been Claudius Galen, a Greco-roman physician; he represented a different combination of four senses of humor or body fluids that regulated nature and the overall behavioral characteristics of an individual. The four senses of humor identified were phlegm, yellow bile, black bile, and blood. According to the relative predominance of each humor was supposed to produce respectively as sanguine that is pleasant and warm, phlegmatic; are apathetic, melancholic; sad and depressed, choleric; easily angered. The Rational Emotive Behavioral PerspectiveFor close to more than half a century, this practice has been being in use for the prediction of human behavioral tendencies about their distinct personalities. Ellis, the clinician behind this theory, defined his finding in clinical terms. The view was developed through the compilation of a long working experience due to having an encounter with a huge number of different kinds of patients when he was a therapist for five centuries. He saw in his early years, an essential part of the personality of human beings is irrationality, which often leads to behavioral dysfunction. The tendency to prefer to the short-term satisfaction of desires was an example of inconsistency. The treating of irrational thinking became the analytical solution of changing someones perception and behavioral dysfunction in people.Every reason is there to believe that there are no differences mostly between dispositions physiologically and activities of the nerves centers located lower than that determined the unconscious behavior, and that found at the centers higher than that is the cortex that determines both unconscious and conscious practices. They mainly occur within individuals brain and are mostly controlled by rearrangements of physiological and anatomy of the neurons; they are predominantly acquired experience not fully to perform their duties. They are seated at the brain and seen develop from the blueprint of the brain. The irrational behavior exhibited by human beings that rob individuals of their personality distorting their behavior, most of this kind of-of behavioral dysfunction are genetic in nature and poses an origin like most of the other genetic traits, they are made necessary due to the kind of environment one is. In the same manner, in which sickle cell traits are genetic, many tendencies are transferred genetically as traits.Personality theories, such as the big five theory, focuses on the intrapersonal characteristics while FIRO theory offers an insight into interpersonal relations. There has been an implementation of both of these models mainly in organizational settings and are recognized as valid indicators of how and why people tend to behave as the do while in the context with different kind of group s. The big five model holds the way people think, feel and interact with others as attributed to individual differences in the five personality dimensions; agreeableness, consciousness, neuroticism extraversion and openness to new experiences. According to this model, persons with agreeableness are likely to be warm understanding and cooperative and unlikely to be insincere, harsh rude or not sympathetic. Those in high consciousness tend to be hardworking, well organized, dependable and firm. People with high extraversion are assertive, sociable and gregarious. An individual with small neurotic is self-confident, patient and calm unlike people with high neurotics who are irritable and insecure. Graduation Speech High School Essay - 1739 Words

At Carthage High School there are two very distinct categories that students are a part of: â€Å"Hispanic† and â€Å"everyone else†. Over the past decade the school district has seen a dramatic increase in the number of Hispanic students that are being enrolled in our district. There have been numerous attempts to help meet the needs of our Hispanic students, most of them are English Language Learners (ELL), and while there has been progress made, there is much more that our school could be doing for these students. Data from state test results and annual yearly reporting (AYP) show our minority students are making progress but still fall significantly behind the non-ELL peers. Teachers are the key to seeing our Hispanic students achieve higher rates of success because they have the largest effect on the daily motivation and learning of these students in the classroom. Using interviews, observations, and artifacts produced by students my action research plan will show successful methods being used in the classroom and which methods are not helping to achieve the desired results for our students. My action research plan will also help bring to light the social issues that are being dealt with in our school and building as a direct result of the influx of diversity in our community and school. Question: Disucss about the Internet Governing and Controlling Of Cyber-Crimes in United Arab Emirates. Answer: Introduction With the span time and the development of technology, the world has undergone huge changes that somehow left a huge impact on the people. These impacts are not positive all the time and as a result there are some adverse effects that causes harm to the society. Cyber-crime is one such expanding risks that is threatening the development of the technical growth of the country. The report here will discuss how cyber-crimes has disturbed the practice of internet in the United Arab Emirates triggering a serious concern for the people as well as for the government of the country and highlights the preventive measures and approaches that can be engaged to reduce such coercions in the future so that the citizens can operate these technologies for their growth in both socio-cultural and economic stage of the country (Al Neyadi et al., 2015). The report also forecasts prediction of such crimes in the future in case the government do not take much protective measures to control such risks. The report wraps up a self-reflection that addresses the influence of these crimes on the society of UAE and the vital efforts to reduce such problems. It also emphasizes the effective defensive actions that are implemented by the government to avoid such calamities. Results of the Study Description A current study by International Journal of Scientific Technology on the Internet Governance Cyber Crime in UAE has discovered that most of the people of UAE feel uncertain while retrieving the internet (Al Neyadi et al., 2015) as most of them had encountered persecutions while using internet. These threats are mostly intended at the personal information about property, governmental issues and many other serious secret issues damaging the reputation of the people. The study exposes that these cyber activities like offensive acts, issues regarding copyrights, terrorism acts, security of state and hatred for religion are the products of a few critical and serious issues which might have been faced by the criminal at certain periods of his life (Al Neyadi et al., 2015). The research that has been conducted here states that there are still people in the country who are still facing such offensive crimes due to their negligence about the cyber-crimes that has cropped up in the recent ye ars. The main purpose of this investigation is to identify the effective measures to govern and regulate the uses of internet among the citizen of the country to decrease the number of victims attacked by the cyber-crimes (Kahler, 2015) and it also prepares a list of laws and policies that are executed by the government to restrict the criminal offensive acts of cyber harassment. The report roughly furnishes the laws under which a person can be charged for breaking these rules and regulations and hence it is not clear enough for drawing any strong conclusion as all the categories are not specified properly. Understanding The research addresses the term internet governance which mainly implies the awareness on the application of new informative technology in the practice of communication and identifies the threats that intimidate these new technologies and disturbs the entire system of internet communication. From the research, it has been derived that the context cyber-crime encircles any illegal offences that deals with computers, internet and networking systems. The term internet governance includes the intricacy of implementing internet governance policies which can be categorized into five dimensional frame work namely- legal, social, economic, cultural and developmental. According to the research study, it has been acknowledged that most of the internet users in UAE have suffered an attack of online cyber-crime while accessing internet. These issues became more severe when there is no scope for identification or prove to identify the criminal. Since UAE is more vulnerable for its economic status throughout the world the cyber offences are often targeted to the citizens of the nation. Another reason for the attack of cyber-crimes is the over using of mobile phones by the citizens (DeNardis, 2012). Nowadays, with the increase of depending on the internet usages for every commercial and communication purposes, the different forms of cyber-crimes are increasing. Influence These illegal and illegitimate activities are all results of the carelessness of both the people of the nation and the government of the country. The protection and the safety of the people can be achieved by implementing certain government laws that checks the illegal action while accessing internet. Since most of the users access internet from their mobile phones, the users must install anti-virus services which will prevent the outflow of the data from the users device (Musiani et al., 2016). The UAE government has formed cyber-crime boards and organizational security that handles cyber-crimes. On the other hand, the police of Abu Dhabi have created Abu Dhabis State Security Apparatus and the department of Anti-Electronic Crimes that deals and investigates the cyber-crime to spy in the internet and its users (Pavan, 2012). Predictions In a nation like UAE, where the citizens are vulnerable to the attack of cyber-crime it is very likely that these can again take place in the long run. This is because the citizens of the country are still not completely aware of the cyber-crimes that the country is still fighting to eradicate and most of the users of the internet are minors who (Wall, 2015). Self-Reflections Observation The research which has been conducted here has revealed the weakness of UAE in creating a safe and secured network for its citizen. The observations that has been observed by me while conducting the research proved that the country is prone to the attack of cyber-crime as most of the internet users are not enough aware of the cyber security rules and regulations. In UAE, since most of the young users visits adult websites and gambling sites, the attackers get the access of the personal information of the user easily. Measures While performing this research, I have come up with some measures that are implemented by the government to protect the internet users. It can be prevented by limiting the access of the public internet services like Wi-Fi and installing anti-virus services in mobiles.
